Performed Management Readiness Review of accounting process for new operating company.
Provided Senior Consultant to serve as an "in-house" Manager of Projects by being seconded to the utility's South Texas Project on their mainframe conversion project. This conversion was from the legacy system consisting of IBM mainframe and Prime computers to their client server environment consisting of an ORACLE7 DBMS. This consisted of on-line applications of approximately 280 Oracle FORMS 4.0 modules, 340 reports, and 400 tables. In addition, served as Data Modeler and JAD Facilitator for the Financial Management System (FMS). Marathon Consulting was accountable for managing a team of Oracle CASE and FORMS programmers and was responsible for the analysis and design, using CASE*Designer to model the processes and data. The company also provided technical oversight for the Records Management System (RMS), Health Physics (HP), and Equipment Qualification (EQ) systems, provided Oracle CASE methods and CASE designer expertise to the development teams. Developed user training material and conducted training classes in support of the Financial Management System implementation.
Developed and conducted training on project management techniques and practices for managers of six training department projects to facilitate the transition from large scale staff augmentation to focused managed task approaches to accomplishing the department's annual objectives for performance improvement.
